Domain Decomposition Methods for Optimization with PDE Constraints
September 1–6, 2013
The conference on domain decomposition methods for optimization with PDE constraints will be held in Monte Verita, Ascona, Switzerland from September 1 to 6, 2013. The focus of this conference is on new, innovative techniques for the parallel solution of large scale constrained optimization problems where partial differential equations appear as an essential part of the constraints. Such problems include structural optimization and optimal control problems as well as inverse problems such as parameter identification. Invited speakers are:
Harbir Antil | Georg Bock |
Moritz Diehl | Eldad Haber |
Laurence Halpern | Matthias Heinkenschloss |
Ronald Hoppe | Axel Klawonn |
Rolf Krause | Yvon Maday |
Zdenek Strakos | Gerhard Wanner |
This conference is sponsored by the European Science Foundation, Centro Stefano Franscini, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Geneva, and the Università della Svizzera italiana.
- Registration is now open until May 30th, 2013 (deadline extended).
- Call for contributed talks: we now invite contributed talks until May 30th, 2013. More details here.
